Norah's Nursery Reveal

Nine months later, it is finally complete! So much thought and energy and love went into creating and curating this nursery. I wish I could take credit for it all but the large pieces in the room came from Norah’s grand-pararents, Cheryl and Greg, I pulled some pieces from other areas of the house, and the rest is generous gifts from family and friends. This project was a joint effort and thank you to everyone that took part in making it what it is. See a piece you like? Scroll to the bottom to find out where it came from!

This bassnet is one of my favorite pieces in the room. It is hand-woven from elephant grass in Ghana by a company named Design DUA. What I super love about it is that the Snuggle Me Organic fits perfectly in the basket meaning Little Sis’ sleep situation is going to be super comfortable.

Let’s get into these details. The rug was the first piece I purchased for the nursery. I bought it before I had the slightest clue how I wanted to decorate. I saw it at Homegoods and fell in love. It’s a 10 X 8 really thick wool rug with braided tassels, all in different colors. I’m not even sure we knew the gender of baby when I purchased it.

I curated the photos above the crib on Etsy. I bought digital downloads and got them printed on mpix.com. I also found these birch frames on Amazon to put them in. They came in a set of 4 and were super cheap for the quality.

The lumbar pillow on the swivel chair is loved for 2 reasons. One reason is it’s practical. Nothing in this nursery was added for just looks. I wanted to be extremely comfortable during all one million hours of breastfeeding that is to come. On top of the fact that it is cozy, it also has a beautiful mustard yellow fabric with wool tassels.
