Melissa's Birth Story

This birth was so unique for so many reasons. Melissa is actually a professional in women’s health and was actively involved in her birth at the Fort Worth Birthing and Wellness Center. She communicated so well with her birth team (of 5 midwives and a doula! ) to let them know how they could provide her comfort. My favorite moment of this birth was when her husband read her a prayer while she slept and rested. She was so lovingly supported every step of the way. After her sweet baby boy was born, her midwives decided to call the Teddybear Express at the local hospital for back up as they were struggling to get baby’s oxygen levels where they needed to be. They were finally able to stabilize baby so he could have some skin-to-skin time with mom and dad followed by lots of pictures to family!
